OMG! Have you ever worked on your blog only to push a wrong button when finished and wonder where it went? Wellllllll, that is what just happened to me, so I will try again! Anyway, Happy Monday! Today I have been trying to catch up on some things around my house as I have been soooooo limited in my cleaning the past few weeks due to my surgery! Now my mom has been a big help, but no one cleans like yourself or myself...whatever! I did not know that so much dust can accumulate on all of my favorite treasures in such a short time! I also during my first few post surgery weeks decided that I would redo my master bedroom....guess I spent to much time in there and it started getting to me! I started by getting rid of our fufu, girly bed and getting a iron king size bed. It is amazing how much more room there is in a king...awwwww! It is a good thing my mom sews because now I needed new bedding! She has already whipped it up and I love it! Then I decided that I needed to declutter...I mean how many old frames can you have on one wall?? I am almost finished and will post some pics later. Sooooo as you see despite being in a recovering mode, the ole decorating wheels have still been turning!! Do they ever stop? Anyway, thats all for now.....Happy Junkin! Cathy

It has been so long since I have been on my blog I hope I remember how! As you know, I am recovering from my foot surgery and did not make it out to Canton last month....I am soooooooooo looking forward to being there this month though! I still have some bad days with the swelling and it is still hard to walk on it but I hope over the next 3 weeks it will continue to improve. I have been able to get in the pool a few times and enjoy just chilling on my float and my sweet grandson Kyan has been here for 10 days up until yesterday. I was sure glad that his daddy was here to help take care of him as he has started walking and is NEVER still!! He sure puts a smile on my face!! In fact, today is sooooo quiet with him not here! I can now start getting ready for Canton.....my mom will be making some new purses this month and I have some great old bottles that I will be "blinging". We will also have our usual shabby furniture and great, fun jewelry items! Well it is time to ice the old foot, so that is all for now...have a great day and "Happy Junkin"....Cathy

It was a very slow month at Canton, but we made it through the heat, the wind, lightning, thunder and the hard rains. We did prepare for the water and put sandbags at the front of our booth, but it did seem to make its way through them. We put our rain boots on and swept the water out as best as we could. Everything did survive and nothing was ruined. We heard that some booths were not as lucky, and were really flooded.

I must say that everyone that made it out to Canton this month are "Real Canton Shoppers". We had a great "buy one get one free" sale on some bobbles...hope that you got to take advantage of that.

It was a little different without Cathy being there. This was her first month to miss in almost 2 years. We missed "our fluffer". She is always busy, busy, busy fluffing, sweeping and picking up the booth to make sure it looks great for all of you that come to visit us. She said that she felt sad not being there with us...but she will be there for our September show.

We are already gearing up for September and we have some new designs in the works, plus we hope to have some Halloween for you. Some of you asked for that already.

Gotta Go for now!

Well Ladies....
I am back from my Destin vacation, and have been working since I got out of the car I think. Destin was beautiful as ever and none of us wanted to leave. The weather was just perfect and we did alot of fun things while we were there. Parasailed, went on a dolphin cruise, snorkeled, and some of us went deep sea fishing. Of course we laid out on the beach daily and just took in the sun and waves all day long. (Wish I was there now!)

We are gearing up for Canton. We leave tomorrow. Cathy will not be there this month, but I think she was going to blog some today, so I will let her update you on her condition.
I can honestly say that I will be running very low on inventory this month, but I know that Pam, Jeri and Sue have been working very hard while I played, so there should be plenty of great stuff! Please make sure that you come by to see us!

Hope to see you this week!

Happy Wed. thought I would update our blog and let all of our friends know that Deidra is enjoying her much needed vacation in Florida on the beach and I am still recooping from my foot surgery. I go back to the surgeon tomorrow and am suppose to get my stiches out. I hope that I can also start to drive and most of all get in the pool and hit the road looking for good junk....{ treasures }. I have not been down like this or have had to stay off my feet in at least 20yrs. and it has been a real challenge for me has I am the type that NEVER stops until I go to bed! I guess that good be called a little OCD! Anyway, I have had alot of time to get some r and r. I will be in a black, hip, styling boot for another few weeks......I am thinking how I can put the good ole "girls gone junkin' " touch to it!! I will post a pic after I get this design going! I will probably not make it out to Canton this month { have talked hubby in to going and help with the booth set up } but will be sending all my goods! If I don't see ya before, will see you in Sept. { can't wait for fall } Have a blessed day......Cathy

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick note to let those of you wondering.....Cathy did great in surgery and is recovering well at her home. She says that she cannot believe the amount of sleep that she is getting. Went to see her yesterday and all is going well.

Pam and I survived the Peach Festival, but yes...it was a hot day. For those of you who braved the heat and came to see us...Thanks!

I am getting to take a vacation with the family to Destin. Cannot wait! This will be our third consecutive year, and I must say we are hooked. We just love it! I hope that the beach is as beautiful as usual, since the hurricane hit it last year.
Three days after I return from Destin will be Canton again. I guess I will have to "work a little" while on vacation in order to be caught up with merchandise. I also like to hit some of the thrift shops while I am there...sometimes I find some unusual cool things to bring back. If anyone knows of some places I should stop by while I am there, please let me know.

See you in a couple of weeks!

Well, we survived the high temperatures once again at Canton. It was a hot one I might say! Wednesday Pam got nauseous, then on Thursday I got nauseous, but then I think we all became use to the weather by Friday. Thanks to our regular customers who came to see us. We sure do appreciate you all!

Business was good despite the hot temperatures, and it seems that everyone went home a little early to get ready for the Fourth Fireworks. We did not stay for the fireworks show....we left early to get a bite to eat and then headed for the air conditioned cottage. (Real party people huh?) We did get to enjoy some great fireworks out in the country though.

We had our regular Friday haircut in Kaufman with our friend Amber. She is just really a sweet person, and just so fun to be around. We just love her and are so happy that we found her.

Cathy is having foot surgery this Thursday, so say a prayer that everything goes well and that she has a quick recovery. You may not see her at this next Canton.......but surely by the end of August, she should be back in the swing of things.

Pam and I are getting ready for the Weatherford Peach Festival this Saturday. If you are live close by and want to enjoy some great peach ice cream and do a little shopping, be sure to come by and see us. There are several vendors there and a fun time is sure to be had! Dress cool!
Gotta get back to Junkin'
