Well here it is Friday ......once again I was up early, met up with Pam and we hit the road running or I should say "junkin"! We filled up her Suburban "Blackie" with all kinds of goodies! We told each other that we would be back at noon so we could get busy working on our projects for Canton next week! Welllllll, that did not happen as it was almost 4 when we called it a day! Once again, Deidra stayed home and was good as she wanted to work on her jewelry! We thought about her though! One of these Friday's I guess we will just have to kidnap her so she will have to go with us! I know one thing......I am TIRED! Guess I will hit the sack early with visions of all my projects I have to get done between now and Wed. when we leave! I hope you all enjoy your long Memorial Day weekend and make it out to Canton next week.....Cathy "Girls Gone Junkin"

T.G.I.F! I love Friday because that is when I love to go "junkin"! I hit the floor running this morning and had a good treasure hunting day.....except for the heat! I sure hope that summer is not here early....I know that Deidra has updated our blog since Canton but she forgot to tell you about our little birds nest that we discovered in our booth! The nest was built at the front of our booth where the old tarp stays rolled up....just tucked away with 3 lil peeping babies! We took pictures and will try and post new pics this weekend! We had a great Canton weekend and made alot of memories thanks to Amber and the new look that she gave Deidra and Pam! They both have a new "sassy" look! Anyway, just wanted to check in and wish all of you a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! CATHY

Luckily Cathy and I made it to Canton this month. We had a rough start within 5 minutes of pulling out of the driveway. After the first intersection, we lost out trailer...it came unhitched and about scared us to death. I think Cathy pulled a muscle by flinching so much. We did manage to get the trailer out from under our bumper, hooked it back up and on to the show we went.
We made it through the rainy, windy weather this past weekend. Thanks to all of you who came out and survived it with us. It really wasn't that bad. The rain seemed to manage to do its' thing late at night and early morning with the exception of one drizzly day. We had a small windy gust(we heard that it was a small tornado) come through Canton on Saturday night. We drove back by our booth and the right side was a little torn up and stuff was on the ground, but everything was okay. The month of May was when the tornado hit last year. I guess we need to remember that for May 2010, as May seems to be tornado month in East Texas.
We want to give a big thanks to Amber who entertained us on Friday night and gave us some great "rocking haircuts". Thanks for staying open late for us....we look forward to the next one.

Thought we would update our blog and let all that follow us know what we have been up to!! Our trip to the Chapel Hill Bluebonnet show was a "WASH OUT"! We left Ft. Worth last Fri. morning for our "ya ya sisterhood" road trip and it poured on us all the way......when we arrived in Chapel Hill, the tents that were already set up were a little "deflated" from the storms so as we sat and watched the pouring rain and listened to the Sat. forecast. After finding out that our hotel reservation was short one bed and room, we turned our packed autos around for another 4 and 1/2 hour "ya ya sisterhood" road trip back to the Metroplex!! Even though it was the show that did not happen, I must say that we did enjoy our conversation and many good snacks along the way! This was just another adventure in the world of "Girls Gone Junkin"! We are now getting ready for Canton next week and will have lots of jewelry and treasures to fill our booth....Hope to see all of you there! { We will also be "going green" with more of our junkin bags } which reminds me........Happy Earth Day tomorrow! Cathy and Deidra
Well, I do not know how many of you made it to the Chapell Hill Bluebonnet Festival this past weekend, but Cathy, Pam and I were rained out. We showed up there Friday to set up and get ready for the show and WOW...what a thunderstorm! Tents were bent, broken and blown over so we got out of there. We talked it over and after hearing the weather reports for the entire weekend, we decided to just call it a loss and drove back home. We did hear that they opened the show on Sunday and there was a large crowd. If any of you went, let us know your thoughts about the show. We are getting ready for Canton this week. I will get back on the blog later and let you know all that we are bringing. Be sure and come and see us if you get a chance...for sure we will have lots and lots of goodies as always!
