Cathy and I got back last night from working on our new booth at Canton. It has been so much fun deciding what we want to do with it. One minute we hang something and then as soon as it is finished we will decide we don't like it so we tear it down and go for something else. We will head down there again this next weekend.

There has been a slight change in our plans...An opportunity has come up so we expanded our location to two booths...side by side. Jeri and Sue have decided to join in on the fun. They were vendors with us in the last booth. Make sure to come in and see us. We will have all the "old goodies" as usual and some "new goodies" for all. Our new website is suppose to be up and running later on this week. Keep posted for further news! Have a great week!

Well, we survived Canton weekend!! It was soooooo COLD! We did not venture to far away from our heaters!!! NOW, all we can think about is getting our new location ready to open! We are so excited and can't wait to have pull down doors, so we can have the booth more like a store front. We really like the new location, and all the shops around us are so cute, and have wonderful treasures for sale! We will be busy this month working on the new space every weekend and can't wait to have our GRAND OPENING! Every one pray for beautiful weather next month.....we are tired of being COLD!! We will keep you posted of our progress.......Have a GREAT WEEK! Also, our web site should be back up at the end of the week......it has been under a lil "tweeking" the past month! Deidra and I are packing and headed to Canton in the morning! Looks like we will have "old man winter " visit us while we are there....but it is better then being HOT in July and August! We are so excited that this will be our last time to set up and tear down as next month we will be in our new location .....Row 46, across from the "Porch"! I want to give all of our "junkin" friends and fellow bloggers a "Girls Gone Junkin" update.......Deidra and I are soooooo EXCITED as we are moving to a new location in Canton! Starting the end of Feb. we will be located on row 46 across from the Porch, in the Paul Michael Bld. For several months, we have wanted to move to a "lock and leave" as it is getting more and more difficult to set up and tear down each month! I guess I should say, the body is growing tired and older each month from having to endure the set up and the weather conditions! In our new location, we will be able to leave all of our displays, and furniture that we have left each month. We will be in our current spot at the end of this month and then the work will begin getting our new booth ready! We will still continue to carry our jewelry and all of our shabby decor and furniture and some new items as well! Once again, it was a very COLD Canton weekend and it just keeps getting colder!!! We appreciate all of you who made it out last weekend to shop and bring in the New Year!! Deidra and I look forward to another "girls gone junkin" good year! We hope to have an even better web site and blog this year and bring you lots and lots of new "treasures"! In fact, I was out this morning checking out a couple of estate sales......after layering on the winter wear and a drive through Star Bucks, I was good to go!! Wow....I have been busy "Junker" since my last post! Canton was great but sooooo COLD! I have to give a big shout out and thank-you to all the people that came out and shopped our booth! We appreciate it so much and look forward to the new year! I have not been doing to much "junkin"since Canton as I had to get my house all ready for Christmas! We did spend last weekend in Gruene though.....saw Jerry Jeff Walker at Gruene Hall and hit all the cute lil shops! The town was so festive for Christmas! The next few days I will be wrapping, and getting ready for our family gathering on Christmas Eve! I hope all of you have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and hope to see ya'll in Canton New Years weekend! Cathy

Well the year is almost over and Cathy and I have been blessed to have made it another year doing what we love.....It is hard to believe that it has been 2 years this month since we left our school jobs to start our own business. We have never looked back...only forward.
Canton was a great one once again, with one exception. I had a little accident and tore off the front bumper of Jeri's Jeep with my trailer Wednesday night. I cut it a little too close when we were trying to set up, and I had just told Pam how easy my long trailer was to pull. I guess I better watch what I say huh? The weather was a little cold, but I would much rather be cold and just pile on the clothes than be hot like it was in August. I did it again..... burned up an outfit with the propane heater...I have burned up one skirt and two dresses now.....oh well, at least I did not catch on fire.
