I hope all of our blogger friends have had a great weekend! I have to say, that is has been a very HOT one here in the Lone Star State!!! Needless to say, I could not bring myself to do any "junkin" this weekend but found the pool much more refreshing!!!!

I have been hitting some of my favorite junkin spots this month and have found some fun and vintage treasure's that I will be taking to Canton this week! Deidra is back from vacation, and has been making some of her soldered pearl rings to also take as they are one of our top sellers and we have been out of stock!

Thought I would share some of my personal favorite treasures that I have found along the way.......these are going to be staying home with me for now!

Hello to everyone....

Well, I am back from Florida and wishing I was still there. I just love Destin and so does my husband and son. I think I could actually move there, but cannot talk my parents or sisters and their families into doing so, and I cannot leave them for sure...just wouldn't be the same.

We enjoyed ourselves and soaked in all of the great sunshine that we could everyday at the beach. The weather was just beautiful the whole time we were there.

The drive back seemed to take forever getting home...you know how sometimes you drive and drive but it seems that you haven't gotten anywhere...that is how I felt. Maybe I was just dreading getting back to the "real world"..

I know that Cathy has been hard at work getting her Canton goodies ready...I am so far behind, I will have to work all week and weekend to even catch up. I know that she also enjoyed last weekend getting to spend it with her "cutie patootie" grandson Kyan. Hope you all can come to see us at Canton next week. I am sure it will be a hot one, so be sure to dress cool and drink plenty of water. See you soon!

O.K......I don't know what the heck I did on my last post just a few minutes ago, but for some reason, I have all sizes of words!!! I have come to the conclusion, it is either the blogger, or the Texas heat has affected the blogger's brain!!!
I really thought I would just get creative with my words and make it interesting reading!!!! Anyway, thought I would post a few pics of some of our favorite things!!!!! Cathy

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! I got to spend it with our son Dustin, Amanda and most important, sweet grandson Kyan!!! Being sooooo HOT all weekend, we spent most of our time in the pool!!

Deidra is back from her Florida vacation, and as she says....back to the real world!!! Which means for both of us, back to the world of "JUNKIN"!!!! Both of us will be very busy the next week getting ready for Canton!!! Yes, it is HOTTER then a FIRECRACKER, but we have been told, that our booth is alot cooler then some......sooooooooos gather up your "peeps" and plan a day of "junkin"!!!!

Good morning blogger friends! Today Deidra is on her way back to Texas as she has been a "Beach Bunny" this past week in Florida and as for me, I have been doing a lil junkin, working on stuff for Canton and then finding time to "PRETEND" I was on vacation while floating in my pool!!! It is amazing how our imagination works....LOL!

As of yesterday though, I have my junkin hat hanging up and my Gigi hat on!!! Our sweet grandson, mommy and daddy are here for the weekend so that means lot's and lot's of hugs and love!!! will be

back on the junkin trail come Monday!!!

For some reason this morning I was thinking about a sweet lady that I met in Canton this past month and thought.........OMG, I forgot to list her as one of our visitors who came out and shopped with us this past Canton weekend.....sorry Ann!! Anyway, Ann has a blog, and what I can see from pics, a GREAT lil shop in the Nacogdoches area. She also has wonderful pics on flikr where I first found out about her!!!
She came in to our booth this past month looking for something sweet and vintage to wear for a special occasion in her future......she bought one of Brenda's vintage wears and a real sweet pearl and flower necklace to top it off!!! I hate it when I forget to add something to our blog..........It is either "old age" or goes with this business!! LOL Be sure and check her blog out sometime and word is out, that she will be having a sale in the future at her sweet lil shop!

Thought I would update our blog, as I have not done so since we were in Canton!! Deidra and her family are heading to Florida on vacation in just a few hours! Guess I will just stay home and hang by the pool......if the rain ever stops!! I did manage to hit a few estate and garage sales this morning in between showers!!!
Our Canton weekend was great, and the temperatures were soooooo nice for this time of the summer!! Last year on the 4th, I remember it was 110 heat index and I don't believe that I have EVER been so HOT in my life!!!
I decided that I would give a BIG SHOUT OUT to our friends and fellow junkers who paid us a visit this past Canton weekend!!! For starters, my dear sweet friends, Carla Beth and Dudley came to see us Thurs. morning before hitting the fields. They also brought us breakfast......CAKE BALLS! OMG, they were sooooooo good, especially the Red Velvet ones! Talk about a sugar rush!!! Carla Beth also has a booth at Lone Star Antique Mall in the metroplex!
Our High School friend Prissy, paid us a visit for the first time also!
Perry, Angela and their sweet daughters were among the shoppers, and my sweet, dear cousin Niki and her gang came by and paid us a visit!
Lori of Katies Rose Cottage, Dorothy from the Shabby Y at Lone Star, and our dear friend Denis of Ruby Grace at Lone Star Antique Mall dropped by........sorry Denis that I was out of the booth!! Daphney Nicole was out doing some junkin, and sweet Annette from Annettes touch of class came by!
I got to meet Theresa from Garden Antiques Vintage........she has an awesome blog!!! And then, a new sweet customer named Teri who is new to the bloggin world! Her blog is ....Blooming where I am planted! Now Teri is off to a good start with her blog, but would love some fellow bloggers to follow her!! Hint, hint!!!
And most important, A BIG SHOUT OUT to our wonderful customers, who mean the world to us!!!
