Happy Monday! Do you ever wish that God would have made a day more then 24 hrs?? Today is one of those that I sure could use more hours!! Thought I would write a quick blog though as we leave for Canton Wed. Deidra and Pam have been busy, busy, and more busy with their jewelry and I have just been plain BUSY!! It started last weekend......my grandbaby "Kyan" and mommy and daddy were here and left last Mon. { needless to say I was a tad bit tired } then my wonderful, loving Great Aunt Estelle died.....she would have been 97 on July 4th, so we went to East Tx. for her funeral. You know she was not famous like Michael Jackson or Farrah and not rich by no means, but she lived her life to the fullest and had soooooooo many interesting stories about her long life....I just loved to listen to her talk about her life....she will be so missed! After this, my son Dustin got sooooooo sick with strep and I really felt like he was a little boy again .....he is working here in the metroplex so stays with us during the week and then heads to Austin where Amanda and Kyan are. After this little "curve in the road" my hubby and I went to Austin and back Sat. for Kyans 1st birthday party. He had so much fun and we did to! I will post a pic later....maybe I can figure out how to do it before he turns 2...Ha! After all of this last week I now have today and tomorrow to finish or should I say start getting ready for Canton! We will have lots of cute stuff and hope to see ya'll there......if not, have a safe and fun 4th of July and don't forget to fly your flag....we are sooo blessed and lucky to have our freedom! Gotta Go....................Cathy " Girls Gone Junkin" right now I feel like Girls Gone Crazy!!

OK.....I am going to try this again! It is 11 Sat. night and I am babysitting while baby Kyans dad and mom are out. He is fast asleep after a full day and my hubby known as "Poppy" is gone DJ ing a big wedding reception soooooooo I feel like I can get something done for a change!! Thank goodness for Deidra and her GOOD blogging skills as mine seem to be lacking!! Not only have we had some HOT weather.....I have been keeping the road HOT looking for some good junk { treasures } to bring out to Canton this month..........now comes the fun part, getting it all ready and packed up! Also, just want to let all of you know that we appreciate all of our customers and we always work hard to keep our prices affordable for all! Hope to see you in Canton this month......{ now lets see if this will post like it is suppose to } Have a good one......Cathy "Girls Gone Junkin"
LOL!!! Yes, Cathy is aware that she posted without words......we laughed about it last night. She did post a great blog yesterday, but somehow it is out in cyber-space and she cannot find it. Has anyone ever done that before? Just write something great down and then you hit the wrong button and it disappears? Oh well, she will get back on again soon. She has been busy with her cutie-patootie grandson(Kyan) this weekend. We both had some get togethers this week with past friends.....one happy occasion and one sad occasion.
I lost a high school friend to Huntington's Disease. His name was Cary Ward. If any of you do not know about this disease...look it up on Google. It is a horrible neurological, hereditary disease that there is no cure for. Cary was funny, smart, witty, good-looking, a great athlete(played football for Baylor), and just a great all around person. Thank goodness he is no longer in pain. He suffered for quite a while. He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.

The happy occasion was a wedding reception. Cathy and I had a friend get married. Her name is Jaye. She is a hoot! We just love her. The reception was last night. It was great to see alot of old friends that Cathy and I use to work with. We miss all of them. Jayes' mom put Cathy and I up one night for Canton when we had no place to stay and did not feel like spending another night in the truck.

We have been working hard for Canton. We hope that everyone comes out and sees us. I know that it will be hot, but maybe there will be a breeze somewhere? We have some new stuff that we have been working on. Last month I made some special gifts for "my girls" at the booth and everyone asked about them. They were little bottles with glitter, pearls, rhinestones, and words put into the bottles with a small piece of lace around the top. I will have some of these at Canton. I am trying to have plenty for all, but come soon to get a good selection.

Cathy has been on the go since last Canton just shopping, shopping, shopping for good treasure finds. I think that she has about three or four totes full of "good junk stuff" that she has found to "bling" up for this month. I know that she sure has found me some good stuff to keep. I need to turn her into my personal shopper while I stay home and solder.

Better go for now, I need to get back to work. Hope to see everyone in a couple of weeks!

Hello everyone...I see that Cathy has updated the blog since we got back from Canton.......I guess I just needed one more day to recover this time. It was SO HOT! We all survived it and I am trying to psych myself up already for the month of July weather. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us despite the warm temperatures!
I missed our visit with Laurie Anna and Willie this month. I heard a good time was had! I came home on Saturday for my son Paynes' ROCK CONCERT at Keller Fest and was dripping in sweat. The name of his band is TIN. They did great and I am so proud of him! Well, better get to work for next month. I will check in later on in the week.

We are back from our Canton weekend and all I can say is "Summer is Here!" Despite the HOT temps. we had a good time! It is always sooooooo nice to have our regular customers come out and see us and we enjoy having new ones discover us! We had several customers from out of state.....a cute couple from New York, several from Oklahoma and Louisiana and also a fun friend of Glenda's from Pittsburgh PA. Glenda works at the Texas Best restaurant on the grounds in Canton and makes the BEST tasting strawberry cake I think I have ever tasted!! Be sure and try some the next time you are in Canton! Once again Pam, Deidra and I got our hair cut from our new friend and hair dresser "Crazy, fun, Amber in Kaufman. That is ALWAYS a fun time!!
